According to a source we trust, the Covanta plant is turning away deliveries of trash this morning and no estimate is being provided on when the plant will start accepting trash again.

Earlier today we reported on a loud noise coming from the plant overnight. When this has occurred before it was tied to a malfunction at the plant.

If you are not familiar with the plant, it burns trash and through that process generates electricity.
