PennDOT has closed some lanes on Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting and the 476 northbound exit ramp to Chemical Road. A reader who is familiar with roadwork shared that this morning there was a lot of PennDOT activity on the road that was beyond a standard road crew.

Chemical Road has had an issue in the past with sinking after lots of rain. In recent weeks there has been a good amount of snow and rain.

So for now, we do not know what the issue is, so just be careful when using Chemical Road.
